Square Lake Park Couples Session || Stillwater, Minnesota

This hidden gem was the perfect backdrop for Casey and Mac’s adventurous couples session! Square Lake Park is located only about 15 minutes from Downtown Stillwater, and is the perfect place for your couples session or engagement photos!

The weather was a bit frightful at a balmy 5 degrees, but the snow-covered pine trees and sunshine made it all worth it!! We started off with the more traditional couples portraits (you know, where you’re smiling at the camera) with their coats on!

They were both pretty nervous about getting their photos taken, because they never really had their photos taken professionally before. I assured them that all they had to do was be themselves and touch each other, and I think they did a pretty freaking amazing job!! 😍😍

Winter Couples Photos at Square Lake Park in Stillwater, MN

After we took a few photos in their coats and sweaters, they geared up for a little sledding, a snowball fight, making snow angels, and rolling around in the snow!! I always love adding a fun little element to a couples session at the end. It makes for capturing some BEAUTIFUL candid moments!!
