All your elopement investment questions answered

What's your game plan for inclement weather?

Great question! Eloping out in nature means you may come across unpredictable and constantly changing weather, but there’s things we can do in case this happens!

In most cases, we can embrace the weather by being prepared! This can look like having backup plans (which I take care of for you), being flexible with your timeline, having proper gear, etc.

If the weather is too dangerous to be in, we’ll look at rescheduling! Which is why I build in extra free days into my schedule, just in case this does happen ;)

I also offer rain day coverage which means we can set aside the day before and/or the day after, just in case we need to pivot to one of those days instead.

Do your packages include your travel expenses?

YES! All of my packages already have my travel expenses included in them, so you won't be surprised with any hidden fees - even for my destination packages! One less thing for you to worry about!

Do you offer film?

I do not offer film and here’s why! I find it can be difficult to be fully in the moment and intentionally documenting your day, when I have multiple formats to worry about. It’s hard to do multiple things at once and do it really well! I choose to focus on your digital photos and make sure all my creativity and intention goes into those.

Is videography included in your packages?

There’s no videography included in my packages! I’m a team of one person (it’s just meee) and it would be difficult to give the best experience with both photo and video! I like to stick to photos and make sure your photos are absolutely BANGING! I do include behind-the-scenes iPhone videos that are taken throughout your day, so you have some videos to share on social media if you’d like.

If you’d like a videographer, I can provide you with the best videographer recommendations for your day!

How far in advance should we book?

This totally depends! I’ve had couples book me anywhere from less than a month away to over a year out. This will depend on your vision and what you’re most comfortable with!

Some things that might influence:
- Are you having guests?
-Want to hire additional vendors?
-How far are you traveling?
-Are you wanting to elope during a busy time of year in the location of your choosing?

Do we have to know our location to book with me?

Nope!! You don’t need to have it all figured out to inquire and book with me. I actually help 90% of my couples find a location that speaks to them after they book!

Can we bring our loved ones along?

Absolutely! If it’s important to you both to have some of your loved ones present, then absolutely bring them along :)

Why should we have a full day experience?

I truly believe 4 hours is the minimum amount of coverage needed to document your elopement experience, because anything less than that is going to feel extremely rushed… which leads to stress.

When you have a full day or even a multi-day elopement, that’s really when your elopement experience becomes SO much more than just a ceremony and some gorgeous photos. There’s so much possibility to fill your day with things you love, maybe new activities you want to try, and having SO much freedom to be spontaneous with that.

What if we’re awkward in photos?

Would you believe me if I said this is a common question I get from ALL couples?! Because it is! And I am literally ALWAYS shocked when they’re in front of my camera, just being absolute MODELS! Like what, you don’t even look awkward!

That being said, it really helps when I take the time to get to know you. And we have so much communication back and forth that by the time your elopement day is here, you’re much more comfortable with me! Which translates to being in front of the camera.

I’m also here to gently guide you both, if you need a little guidance for photos.

EXPERT TIP: Plan out activities throughout the day, because having activities where you’re just naturally doing something together? That makes for beautiful photos of the two of you without feeling like you’re “on” in front of the camera.
