Skogafoss & Reynisfjara Elopement in Iceland

If you’ve ever dreamed of hopping on a plane to Iceland to elope with your partner – this is your sign to just do it! It’ll be one of the best experiences you two will have together! There’s something magnetic about Iceland that calls to couples like you who seek adventure, connection, intimacy, and intentionality for their elopement experience. When you look through Aiden and Corey’s Skogafoss & Reynisfjara Elopement, you’ll definitely understand I mean 😉

Looking For An Iceland Elopement Photographer?!

If you’re looking for an Iceland elopement photographer that will guide you through every step of the planning process, document not just your precious moments but the landscape as if you’re seeing it for the first time, and capture the raw magic of your adventure – you’re in the right place. I’m here to be your adventure companion, experience creator, and storyteller!

Starting Their Day at Gígjagjá (aka Viking Park)

Aiden and Corey’s day began at Gígjagjá, a hidden cave on the Reykjanes Peninsula! Also known as Viking Park and where the infamous “Yoda Cave” is. It was super windy so we didn’t spend too much time at this spot, but it was the perfect place to start the day!

Elopement Ceremony at Reynisfjara

Reynisfjara Beach is absolutely GORGEOUS with its towering basalt columns, endless black sand, and crashing waves!! (Be careful though, sneaker waves are dangerous on this beach!) One of my favorite things about this beach is that you get a gorgeous view of Katla and the Mýrdalsjökull glacier in the background.

Aiden and Corey took a little time wandering around the beach, taking it all in together. We even got small rain shower that happened to clear the beach just a little bit! It really was a perfect, moody day for them.

FUN FACT: Did you know that some super popular films & TV shows were filmed here? Like: Star Wars Rogue One and Game of Thrones!

Adventuring at A Hidden Waterfall with Icelandic Hot Dogs & Beer

After the beach, we decided to make a stop at Kvernufoss, a hidden waterfall about 30 minutes outside of Vik! Aiden and Corey decided to take a little food break (having a food game plan for your elopement is ESSENTIAL trust me!) with some delicious Icelandic hot dogs and some beer. Honestly, is there a more perfect dinner you could have in Iceland?!

Ending Their Elopement at Skogafoss

WOW, WHAT A DAY ALREADY, AM I RIGHT?!?! By this point (about 8:30pm or so) it was getting pretty dark and getting even more cold. So we decided to stop by Skogafoss for some quite photos (I mean, how could you not right?! It’s one of the most iconic waterfalls in all of Iceland!)

Aiden and Corey braved the wind and cold for a little longer and MAN were they troopers!!
