Cassie & Peter’s North Shore MN Wedding

Cassie and Peter started their day at Tettegouche State Park, by changing into their wedding attire in the (quite clean) bathroom inside the visitor center before proclaiming their love and promises in front of their families. Nothing says adventure like changing in the state park bathrooms, am I right?! It was also a great moment for them to take a big deep breath before saying hello to all their family members that were waiting for them. After they got changed, they walked down the aisle (the path to the Tettegouche Amphitheater) and said their I Do’s 🥺❤️

Following their ceremony, we took some formal portraits with their family members and then had a delicious lunch that everyone had a hand in making. I mean, you just can’t go wrong with pulled pork sandwiches! After lunch and mingling with their families, they said their goodbyes (for a few hours) and went on an adventure with their pup and I, ending their day at a hidden beach with their leftover cake, Nova, and some sea otters.

Cassie & Peter’s Story

Cassie and Peter reached out to me just after Christmas in 2022, after finding me through Wandering Weddings! When we hopped on a call to chat about their elopement vision, I had asked them what helped them make the big decision to elope. Cassie and Peter’s response was: “It feels like many of the traditional weddings we’ve attended have been more for the guests and not the couple. We want our wedding to be a chance for us to celebrate each other without the pressure of being the center of attention and throwing a party for the benefit of other people.”

C+P met through the dating app, Coffee Meets Bagel and the rest is history!! They started dating during the pandemic, which led to them going hiking together so they could get to know each other better! They both absolutely love to travel (they visited Luxenberg and Switzerland in 2022, and had plans to travel to Japan in November of 2023) and have spent LOTS of quality time together through hiking and traveling.

She did an awesome job balancing our more traditional ceremony with family and our desire for time to enjoy each other’s company doing things we love. Family Portraits: 12:45pm (immediately after ceremony)
