CHRIS AND TYLA’S BLACK BEACH MICROWEDDING ON LAKE SUPERIOR
Chris and Tyla’s Lake Superior Minnesota Elopement, was nothing short of perfect (even with a little mud and rain involved!) When Chris and Tyla reached out to me in May about eloping on the north shore, they mentioned that they really want their day to be intentional and intimate. They wanted to invite their closest friends and family, but they also wanted to have space for themselves, where they can truly enjoy each other and their day too. And that’s EXACTLY what they did!!
CHRIS & TYLA’S LAKE SUPERIOR ELOPEMENT STORY
They started their day with getting ready together in an Airbnb they had rented in Two Harbors, and shared it with their friends!! Tyla made a delicious breakfast spread for everyone, and took it slow. I mean, there’s no need to rush, am I right?! That’s the beauty of eloping!
Once Tyla and Chris were all ready to go, we drove to a private location up on the North Shore so they could exchange their vows privately. I absolutely love that they planned their elopement with such intention, to exchange their heartfelt, personal vows privately before their big ceremony. They didn’t have to worry about pouring out their hearts in front of an audience — it was truly just them, the sound of the waterfall, and me (way off in the distance) And the muddy terrain just added a little extra ✨ spice ✨
After they exchanged their private vows and we had some fun adventuring around the area, we then set off for their formal ceremony with their friends and family at Black Beach. Then, they ended their day with their own private cake cutting (with a DELICIOUS raspberry champagne cake that Tyla made herself!) on top of the cliffs at Palisade Head.
NOW IS THAT NOT ONE HELL OF AN ELOPEMENT DAY UP ON LAKE SUPERIOR?!?
